The whole process of planning a wedding can be both stressful and hectic. One of the most important elements of your special day is your wedding limousine service. We’ve compiled a short list of how to choose the right wedding limo to make your day perfect.

Book your limo at least three months early, that way you can eliminate the last minute frustration of not finding the limo you want because it has already been booked. Remember in the greater Phoenix area, the months between November and May are the busiest.

Choose reliability over price, you want to select a reliable limo service, the last thing you want to do is risk the limousine showing up late or not showing up at all. Ask your greater Phoenix limo service to provide you with verifiable reviews. Ours is done by an outside company – http://www.customerlobby.com/reviews/8451/accent-transportation-services-dba-accent-limo/

Ask and make sure that the limousine company you’re dealing with is licensed and insured. Ask to see their insurance certificate and their weight & measures sticker to make sure their vehicles are properly licensed with the Arizona Department of Weights and Measures.

Before booking, schedule an appointment to see the limo. Most companies use stock photos instead of actual pictures of their limousines. At Accent Limo, we’ve posted pictures of our limos on our facebook page- www.facebook.com/transaccent. You want to make sure the cars are new model, in good condition, and cleanly kept.

Make sure they offer wedding packages. At Accent Limo we offer a red carpet special with complimentary soft drinks, bottled water Just Married signs and decorations that match your wedding color scheme. We will also cater to any additional requests the couple have to help make their wedding day memorable

Last, but not least ask whether they’re a member of national & local organizations. Accent Limo is a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau – (http://ethicalaz.com/accenttransportationservices/), National Limousine Association, and Arizona Limousine Association – (http://azlimousineassociation.org/articles/members).

The most important thing is to choose a greater Phoenix limo service that’s committed to make your wedding day truly special.

You are rushing to get to or from the airport for that important business meeting – the one you can’t miss. Time is of the essence, you want to arrive looking calm, cool and relaxed. Do you choose a town car service or a taxi for your Phoenix airport transportation?

The old saying, “you get what you pay for comes to mind” in more ways than you might think.

Given that Accent Transportation Services is in the business of service, providing Phoenix airport executive car service, Scottsdale airport limo service and special event transportation, I found it very interesting that Phoenix’s City Council is considering regulating taxi cabs.

The fact that taxis need to be regulated is just one more reason to consider choosing a town car service. In a recent Arizona Republic article, “Council to weigh taxi regulations,” the City Council indicated it is consider developing citywide regulations.

Councilman Tom Simplot said large cab companies self-regulate, but he’s concerned about the “fly by night, dangerous gypsy cabs.” He noted that, “If you’re a consumer, you should be able to sit in the backseat of a cab and know who the driver is and that he isn’t an ax murderer.”

I’ve heard horror stories of people’s “adventures” in cabs. The owner of the Clarendon Hotel posted in response to the Arizona Republic story. He went on to write that he has seen guests arrive at the hotel in tears, knowing that they’d been taken advantage of and has watched arguments break out in front of the hotel after a cabbie picked up four people coming from the airport and charged them all full fare.

I’m not going to even address the safety issues surrounding working seatbelts and door locks in taxis. Not every taxi has these issues. However, a reputable car service will definitely not have these issues.

Selecting a car service over a taxi guarantees you several things – the least being peace of mind. When selecting a car service make sure they offer the following, which are standard with Accent Transportation Services, offerings.

- An on-time guarantee, backed by a first hour free policy

- Professional drivers with exemplary driving records, that go through rigorous medical & background checks

- Complimentary in-car WiFi and recharging of your phones, computers and other devices

- Full vehicle amenities including bottled waters, daily newspapers and magazines

- A simple reservation process: via phone 24/7, via email or online reservation

- The highest levels of insurance coverage, all city and Phoenix airport transportation permits, a Better Business Bureau member in good standing, a member of the National Limousine Association, Arizona Livery Association, Meeting Planners International as well as a member of the Scottsdale and Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureaus.

There are many other reasons to choose a car service over a taxi. We would love the opportunity to provide more tips to meet and exceed your travel expectations.
As of this year, nearly one third of all workers felt that they needed to stay connected to work 24/7, even during weekends, breaks or holidays. How are you staying productive when you travel?

According to a recent survey, people are turning to technology to stay connected, to do more with less and to maintain job security (there were 15 million Americans out of work in March). The current economy has most feeling stressed, overworked and anxious.

As of this year, approximately 48 percent of workers, manager and executives who use technology are now required to do more work with fewer resources. Sound familiar? Nearly one third felt that they needed to stay connected to work 24/7, even during weekends, breaks or holidays.

As a result of the ever-increasing need to be productive at work and while on the road, many major airlines have announced they will offer in-flight Wi-Fi. Airlines ranging from US Airways (www.usairways.com and @USAirwaysNews) to Southwest Airlines (www.southwest.com and @SouthwestAir) and from Alaska Air (www.alaskaair.com and @AlaskaAir) to United Airlines (www.united.com and @UnitedAirlines) are included in this growing list of customer and productivity-centric airlines.

Given that Accent Transportation is in the business of travel transportation, providing Phoenix airport sedan service, Phoenix car service and even International airport transfers, I thought you might appreciate a few insights on productivity while traveling. After all, in today’s business environment you can’t afford to take the time away from being connected that travel often produces. I find that people traveling on business are often overwhelmed after they get off a flight. They’ve been out of touch for hours, off the net, toting a batter-drained laptop and sometimes displaying precariously low battery life on their cell phone. That is one of the reasons why all Accent Transportation vehicles from town cars to limos have free Wi-Fi access and complimentary device recharging. A few tips:

Print it Out: reading materials to review while on the plane can be valuable. Depending on the length of the flight, your laptop battery might not last. Also, printed materials allow you to be productive from the moment you take your seat – not after they allow you to turn on electronic devices.

Business Publications: studying business trends and issues helps you bring added insights into meeting, to reports and to sales pitches.

Projects on a Plane: although more and more airlines are offering Wi-Fi, you can’t always count on being on a Wi-Fi enabled flight. Set aside time to finish that Power Point or important report while you’re in the air. Bnet.com offers a great list of Wi-Fi airlines at: http://www.bnet.com/2403-13242_23-410674.html

Recharge When Possible: if you’re not using transportation that offers complimentary recharging of laptops, phones, iPods and the like, make sure your cords are accessible for quick recharges. You never know when you may have an opportunity to recharge.

Pack for Life: include travel size versions of Advil, Tylenol, your toothbrush and toothpaste and the like. Also, stuffing an energy bar into your bag is a good idea as often flight delays kill time set aside for picking up a meal.

Be Productive: when weighing a car service vs. renting a car, consider lost productivity. Arriving refreshed, getting a last-minute stat off the Web for your presentation or not needing to worry about whether your phone will die can be worth its weight in gold.

Productivity is becoming more and more important. As companies merge, unemployment remains high and your boss’ demands higher, make sure you are taking the steps to be as productive as possible. What are your tips to stay productive? Post them here or share them with us at http://twitter.com/transaccent or http://www.facebook.com/transaccent
