World’s First Super SUV

We see the world altering around us every day with constant technological advances. Well on the 13^th of September the Britain based car manufacturer Eterniti revealed at the International Frankfurt Motor Show for the first time the Eterniti Hemera, the world’s first super SUV. This new vehicle is going to be based on the platform of the Porsche Cayenne. It is to be hand made in London producing a remarkable 620 bhp (brake horse power) and a top speed of over 180 mph. Production will begin in early 2012 and will be available for sale by summer time. The automobile manufacturer Eterniti intends to become a boutique luxury carmaker, their production of the “limo-like” vehicle Hemera has a rear cabin, with twin reclining rear seats, twin iPads with wireless keyboards and a drinks chiller.

For a world without limits is the slogan for the Hemera. Although minimum information has been released about the Hemera, many other luxury interior components are expected. The engineering team is led by Alastair Macqueen, who was in charge for the making of the Jaguar XJ220 supercar and has won the Le Mans 24-Hour race with both Jaguar and Bentley. Eterniti is planning to establish its first facility in London featuring a showroom, car build and service center, and a separate area where customers can create custom specifications for their cars, which will be hand-built on site. More of these facilities are expected to open around the world in key international cities, one of them being Hong Kong, starting in 2012.

The UK based car maker Eterniti motors is trying to make a distinct name of its company, debuting its first car as the first super SUV in the world, something that other luxury car manufacturers have not done yet. It is anticipated to sale for an estimate of $238,000. Also due to its compact 4 x 4 dimension, the vehicle has an option of self-drive as well as chauffeured. But of course in this type of vehicle chauffeured drive would be desired.

There has been a lot of talk these days about the American Dream being dead – not so says Accent Transportation.

In May 2008, during the roughest stretch of the recession, a husband-and-wife team made a bold decision to start their own transportation business. Misgana Kebede and his wife, Bilen, started Accent Transportation Services, which specializes in executive car service around the Phoenix area.

Kebede moved to the U.S. from Ethiopia and was drawn to the tourism industry early on. In fact, he worked at various hotels and theme parks after high school and during college. Kebede eventually earned degrees in finance and logistics, transportation and supply chain management.

Prior to the creation of Accent Transportation Services, Kebede was working for Honeywell Aerospace in the supply chain department. Although he was learning a lot about the business, Kebede realized he wanted something more than to work in a cubicle.

“I had the dream of becoming a business owner, and a desire to serve others from the heart,” Kebede says.

When Kebede first started his business, the ground transportation/limousine service industry was being hit hard by the economic downturn.

Companies were cutting down on travel costs, and car and limo services weren’t in demand. Despite the challenges, Accent Transportation managed to stand out to clients. Accent Transportation gains most of its business from repeat customers, and has grown from one vehicle to a seven-vehicle fleet within two years.

“Building a repeat customer base tells us we’re doing something right,” Kebede says. “Seventy to 75 percent of our business is repeat customers.”

A wedding is a once in a lifetime experience, which many brides dream of and plan for months upon months if not years. The last thing you want to go wrong is the transportation. 1). The first question to ask is who you need to provide transportation for. Traditionally, the bride and her bridesmaids are transported to the ceremony. In addition, a limousine service should be provided for the bride’s parents, for the children in the wedding and for important guests.

On your visit, ask for references, and make sure to ask them what happens in case of a mechanical breakdown. Finally, use of a major credit card proves that your booking was set in stone.

5). Here’s a Tip: Your chauffeur works hard and should be tipped at least 20 percent of the total bill. That said you probably aren’t carrying cash in your wedding dress or tuxedo. Ask the limousine service if they would include the tip in the overall charge.

Productivity on the Road…Getting Recharged and Staying Connected

According to a recent survey, people are turning to technology to stay connected, to do more with less and to maintain job security (there were 15 million Americans out of work in March). The current economy has most feeling stressed, overworked and anxious.

As of this year, approximately 48 percent of workers, manager and executives who use technology are now required to do more work with fewer resources. Sound familiar? Nearly one third felt that they needed to stay connected to work 24/7, even during weekends, breaks or holidays.

As a result of the ever-increasing need to be productive at work and while on the road, many major airlines have announced they will offer in-flight Wi-Fi. Airlines ranging from US Airways (www.usairways.com and @USAirwaysNews) to Southwest Airlines (www.southwest.com and @SouthwestAir) and from Alaska Air (www.alaskaair.com and @AlaskaAir) to United Airlines (www.united.com and @UnitedAirlines) are included in this growing list of customer and productivity-centric airlines.
