Accent Transportation Services dba Accent Limo has now added the 2011 Mercedes Sprinter passenger van to its ever growing fleet of limousines in Phoenix.

The Sprinter is capable of sitting 11 passengers comfortably, and just like all our vehicles it offers leather seats, complimentary WiFi, bottled water, up to date national and local newspapers.

A great choice if you’re traveling in groups for business or pleasure.

With the golf season approaching, we are excited to serve the golfing community with this new vehicle since it has a luggage compartment of 187 cubic feet.

Sprinter’s Exciting Features

  • Maximum cargo volume of 187 cubic feet. 9 times the cargo space in the Lincoln Town car.
  • Entering the Sprinter Passenger Van is quick and easy through a 6′ X 4’3″ side door entry.

Go to a Diamondbacks Game

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

The sound of the organ, the crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd and the amazing sky revealed when the roof is open – it’s all part of the Diamondbacks’ experience! The Diamondbacks’ experience is that much better when you top it off with a car service.

Whether you’re planning a big day, coming in from out of town and you need Phoenix Sky Harbor airport transportation or a Scottsdale airport limo service, choosing a car service can make a big difference. A car service eliminates the need to jump into a cab or rent a car and it allows you to enjoy pre and post game festivities. This frees you from worrying about parking, finding your car after the game or trying to designate a driver during the seventh-inning stretch.

Consider how much more enjoyable a Diamondbacks’ game will be when you pick up your friends in a luxury Lincoln town car or treat them to a stretch limo. A stretch Escalade is always a crowd pleaser as well. Once you’re in the car, a quality car service affords you many options, including:

- Watching pre or post game analysis of the game on TV or listening to commentary on satellite radio

- Surfing the Internet to view box scores, posting comments on social media sites or emailing friends to brag using complimentary in-car WiFi

- Recharging iPhones, Droids, your Blackberry, iPad or other electronic devices

- Receiving flight status updates from your driver

When you decide you want to use a car service or limo rather than driving yourself, make sure you look for several things in your transportation. After all, you want your experience to be smooth, care and stress free. Make sure the car service offers several things, all standard with Accent Transportation Services, including an on-time guarantee, backed by a first hour free policy. Whether you’re being picked up from home or the airport, things can get delayed.

Also, make sure your service uses professional drivers with great driving records; no criminal background and that they go through medical examination. Better to be safe than sorry. In addition, you want to make sure the car service offers full vehicle amenities, including bottled water and other refreshments. It’s not fun to jump in the car thinking you can sip ice-cold water or another beverage only to find out that’s not included.

Finally, make sure you get an electronic confirmation of your trip – emails to smart phones make this convenient. Our last tip: make sure the car service carries the highest levels of insurance coverage as well as proper city and Phoenix airport transportation permits. A Diamondbacks experience can be ruined if your driver is pulled over for violations.

A Dream Becomes A Reality for Small Business Owner

Monday, November 29th, 2010

There has been a lot of talk these days about the American Dream being dead – not so says Accent Transportation.

I have included select excerpts from an AZnow.Biz article by Nicole Klauss, “A Dream Becomes A Reality for Ethiopian-Born Small Business Owner Misgana Kebede.” Check out the full link to the complete article at the end.

In May 2008, during the roughest stretch of the recession, a husband-and-wife team made a bold decision to start their own transportation business. Misgana Kebede and his wife, Bilen, started Accent Transportation Services, which specializes in executive car service around the Phoenix area.

Kebede moved to the U.S. from Ethiopia and was drawn to the tourism industry early on. In fact, he worked at various hotels and theme parks after high school and during college. Kebede eventually earned degrees in finance and logistics, transportation and supply chain management.

Prior to the creation of Accent Transportation Services, Kebede was working for Honeywell Aerospace in the supply chain department. Although he was learning a lot about the business, Kebede realized he wanted something more than to work in a cubicle.

“I had the dream of becoming a business owner, and a desire to serve others from the heart,” Kebede says.

When Kebede first started his business, the ground transportation/limousine service industry was being hit hard by the economic downturn.

Companies were cutting down on travel costs, and car and limo services weren’t in demand. Despite the challenges, Accent Transportation managed to stand out to clients. Accent Transportation gains most of its business from repeat customers, and has grown from one vehicle to a seven-vehicle fleet within two years.

“Building a repeat customer base tells us we’re doing something right,” Kebede says. “Seventy to 75 percent of our business is repeat customers.”

Accent Transportation retains its customers because it continually focuses on improving the level of service it provides. It offers easy, online reservation and account management system. Customers can choose from Lincoln Town Car sedans, SUVs, stretch limos and a mini-coach. Kebede also emphasizes the importance of being on time. Read more: http://bit.ly/AZBizMag

Phoenix Limo Service or Taxi?

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

You are rushing to get to or from the airport for that important business meeting – the one you can’t miss. Time is of the essence, you want to arrive looking calm, cool and relaxed. Do you choose a town car service or a taxi for your Phoenix airport transportation?

The old saying, “you get what you pay for comes to mind” in more ways than you might think.

Given that Accent Transportation Services is in the business of service, providing Phoenix airport executive car service, Scottsdale airport limo service and special event transportation, I found it very interesting that Phoenix’s City Council is considering regulating taxi cabs.

The fact that taxis need to be regulated is just one more reason to consider choosing a town car service. In a recent Arizona Republic article, “Council to weigh taxi regulations,” the City Council indicated it is consider developing citywide regulations.

Councilman Tom Simplot said large cab companies self-regulate, but he’s concerned about the “fly by night, dangerous gypsy cabs.” He noted that, “If you’re a consumer, you should be able to sit in the backseat of a cab and know who the driver is and that he isn’t an ax murderer.”

I’ve heard horror stories of people’s “adventures” in cabs. The owner of the Clarendon Hotel posted in response to the Arizona Republic story. He went on to write that he has seen guests arrive at the hotel in tears, knowing that they’d been taken advantage of and has watched arguments break out in front of the hotel after a cabbie picked up four people coming from the airport and charged them all full fare.

I’m not going to even address the safety issues surrounding working seatbelts and door locks in taxis. Not every taxi has these issues. However, a reputable car service will definitely not have these issues.

Selecting a car service over a taxi guarantees you several things – the least being peace of mind. When selecting a car service make sure they offer the following, which are standard with Accent Transportation Services, offerings.

- An on-time guarantee, backed by a first hour free policy

- Professional drivers with exemplary driving records, that go through rigorous medical & background checks

- Complimentary in-car WiFi and recharging of your phones, computers and other devices

- Full vehicle amenities including bottled waters, daily newspapers and magazines

- A simple reservation process: via phone 24/7, via email or online reservation

- The highest levels of insurance coverage, all city and Phoenix airport transportation permits, a Better Business Bureau member in good standing, a member of the National Limousine Association, Arizona Livery Association, Meeting Planners International as well as a member of the Scottsdale and Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureaus.

There are many other reasons to choose a car service over a taxi. We would love the opportunity to provide more tips to meet and exceed your travel expectations. WiFi…Almost Everywhere

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

According to The Nielsen Company, people around the world spent more than five and half hours a day on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter in December 2009 – an 82 percent increase from 2008.

In response to the growing trend of staying connected, major companies, food chains, airlines and even hotels are offering WiFi access to help customers connect with the information and sites they need. In fact, McDonald, will waive its $2.95 fee for WiFi access this year. McDonalds is joining the ranks of Barnes & Noble and Borders. Free WiFi is popping up in unusual places, such as Taco Bell, IHOP and Denny’s.

Even Airlines are starting to expand their in-flight WiFi offerings. These in-flight WiFi options are not free – yet. I say yet as a few years ago, WiFi options in hotels were the big trend but most came with big fees as well.

Flash forward to today and there are many major hotel brands offering complimentary WiFi connections – these connections once required a fee. These brands include, but are not limited to, Courtyard by Marriott Hotels; Residence Inn Hotels; Four Points by Sheraton; Hampton Inn Hotels; and Hyatt Place Hotels. In addition, there are several hotels that offer free access with membership, which is free. These include: Kimpton Hotels: Omni Hotels; Fairmont Hotels and Wyndham Hotels. In the hotel industry, free WiFi connections are becoming “go” or “no go” decision points. Many people are choosing to stay at specific hotels or hotel chains based on whether they offer WiFi. I found a great report on WiFi and free WiFi offerings at hotels across the nation at www.hotelchatter.com or I am sure you can check a specific hotel by Tweeting them at @HotelChatter.
As you travel, whether for business or pleasure, you can and should be connected to the information you need when and where you need it. Even as you head to the airport, you can access the Web as more and more airports themselves are offering free WiFi options. To date, more than 219 airports offer some type of WiFi access. Travel Post has a great resource to see your options at airports, http://www.travelpost.com/airport-wireless-internet.aspx, or you can Tweet them to ask at @TravelPost.

Given that Accent Transportation Services is in the business of service, providing Phoenix airport executive car service and Scottsdale airport limo service, we offer free in-car WiFi in all of our cars, which range from Town Cars to stretch limos. To the best of our knowledge, we are the only Arizona-based limousine service to offer this option.
In today’s busy world, fewer people are “disconnecting” when traveling for business or pleasure. In addition to complimentary WiFi, we recharge your devices after a flight that typically drains your laptop, iPod, smart phone or other devices.
Where are your favorite places, as well as the most unusual, to get free WiFi? Tell us at http://twitter.com/transaccent or http://www.facebook.com/transaccent and we’ll add them to our list that we share with customers and will Tweet as well.
